I'm Jacqueline Romero, from Nicaragua, Hotel Executive Head Chef and Procurement Manager and founder of New Connections. I have been living in Ireland for seven years, a country I fell for the moment I arrived.

In 2017 I travelled around Europe, and when I got to Ireland I felt an immediate connection. Over time I learned English and started working in a restaurant, working my way up to my current role at a well-known hotel in the county where I live.

Alongside that, I was advising people looking into study and work programmes here, and I came to know the field inside out. That, together with the years I have spent living here, is what pushed me to found New Connections. We have the knowledge and the means to genuinely help people make a life in Ireland.
